Howdy Cousins, this is just a down payment on the comments I want to make when I get home. Thanks Janet for your organizational skill in getting us all together. Thanks to Kacy for setting us up with another blog to keep us current. I'll get the emails/addresses/etc to everyone as soon as possible. We really enjoyed the weekend at Cheaha with you all. We have a very precious and loving family. It will take days or weeks to process all that has happened in the last week for us so the blog will be a great help in that. I also hope we can post our photos here. If not, perhaps we can all agree to upload photos to one site that we can all link to. Love ya all. MORE later. Christy

I think we can post pics here, it said you can when I originally set it up. But I don't see where you can do it. If not, I'll find us a place to do it. I just wanted to get a place where we can toss our thoughts around to each other and not lose them like an email.

Christy, do you remember the other blog spot we set up about 2 years ago? It was www.collinscrazies.blogspot.com. I forgot all about it. There are a few choice morsels out there and then we abandoned it for some reason.

OK. para mi
I felt like I had been dropped into an alternative universe.
So many people like me!
I was surrounded by lots of people who didn't think it was weird that I played (however badly) a drum!
So many people speak espanol. and I am trying to learn!
I create mosaics from broken pottery - who knew there was a family who could appreciate that?
I love to create beaded jewelry. I'm not Bud, but I love what I create. (Earrings, mostly)
There aren't enough hours in a day to do what I want to do and still make a living, and I found a group of people who get that!

Really, you guys, you cannot imagine how great that feels. My friends all humor me and secretly think I'm nuts.
This past weekend, I discovered, I'm not nuts, i am part of a family who just goes for life.

Thank you all.
I'm heading off to drum for a bit...

Hey, cousins. We got home last night about 1 1/2 hrs. later than we expected. We ran through some real frog drowners in KY and IL. We dropped the dogs off at the house and then went straight to the art center to teach class. It's amazing how quickly life resumes, eh?
We had a fantastic time at the reunion. Carol is right, it really helps to understand who you are in light of the family you belong to. Makes you wonder how adopted people feel.

I felt so privileged to be making music with you. I have never played with real musicians... other than on the stereo.

We also had a terrific time with Mom and Dad after we left Cheaha. Mom says she doesn't feel well but she actually is acting like she does feel well. Does that make any sense? She looks good and keeps a goin' despite it, at least. Mark and Kristen and chilluns came by Sunday afternoon and visited for awhile. That made my folks feel like they didn't miss out on everything.

Have we heard yet how Julie did yesterday? How long til she hears the results?

Oh yea, one other thing: I got to go with Bud to get his mare ("Ma")at the breeders. She is being bred to a fantastic, I mean, utterly incredible, quarter horse stud. In fact, they've got the other mare bred to him as well. They'll have some WORLD class colts in about 11 months.

Love ya'll. Hope everyone hops on the blog. It's COO'.
